Rob Selsor is seeking election for the position of Vernon County Presiding Commissioner

He is a retired U.S. military veteran who served since 1982 on active and/or reserve status in the U.S. Army and later in the U.S. Air Force. He trained and worked in many disciplines including human resources, finance, personnel management and career counseling. He also had the honor to train with a U.S. Special Forces group on a variety of combat related skills. He supervised personnel and was accountable for millions of dollars worth of equipment. Selsor deployed on operational, training, and humanitarian missions all over the United States and many locations around the globe. He performed duties in support of the Cold War, Desert Shield/Desert Storm and the Global War on Terrorism. In 2003 as a technical sergeant, his final assignment was to be honorably transferred to the US Air Force Retired Reserves.

Rob holds a Missouri Department of Public Safety Law Enforcement license and is a former Law Enforcement Officer with over 12 years prior service in Missouri and Kansas in the criminal justice field. Some previous work experience includes being an Educator in Public Schools as a Substitute School Teacher, and working with at-risk youth in a military style boot camp environment. He also has worked as a Private Process Server, Investigator, and Notary Public.

Education: associate of science, associate of arts and bachelor degrees from Missouri Southern State University. Law Enforcement Academy, hazardous materials operational response, emergency services first responder course.

Bates County Garden Tractor Pulling Association -- member.

Selsor has been married for over 29 years to Angie (Pike) from the rural Nevada area, who is the director of special services for the Nevada R-5 School District. He has two grown children: Courtney Selsor, who lives in Webb City and works in retail, and Derek Selsor who is a police officer in the St. Louis, area. Rob and Angie have one granddaughter, Katrina, the daughter of Derek and his wife.

Rob Selsor has had a lifetime of dedication serving our country, state and community and chose to become a candidate because the citizens of Vernon County deserve an elected representative that will work for them. He believes that our government should not work against the people, but for the people.
