Nevada City Council meets Tuesday

The Nevada City Council is looking at a short agenda when it meets at 7 p.m., Tuesday, in the council chambers in the Public Safety Building, 120 S. Ash Street, including the consideration of bids for a tanker truck for the Nevada Fire Department and a lease-purchase agreement with U.S. Bancorp Government Leasing and Financing Inc. for that tanker.

Other items under consideration include right-of-way easements for the sewer interceptor replacement project, updating the city's administrative code so it is consistent with the interpretation of the Missouri Legislature and the final reading of Amendment No. 1 to the development agreement of Atlantic Estates.

The council will also consider the re-appointment of Jack Bastow, Dean Stutesman, J.C. Wiseman, and Jim Liley to the board of building appeals; and the re-appointment of Jack Bastow to the infrastructure board.

Discussion of the options for the old First Baptist Church building is scheduled.
