The NRTC-DECA chapter will host "Dunk for a Cure" to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation during the NHS boys' basketball game Dec. 19.

Purple T-shirts and sweatshirts are currently on sale. They may be purchased in advance or the night of the benefit. The event will feature a silent auction, bake sale, and face painting, all beginning at 5:30 p.m., outside the NHS gym.

A "one-minute" money drive will be held during halftime of the varsity boys' basketball game.

Event coordinator and DECA member Gabby Gire suffers from Cystic Fibrosis.

The mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is to cure cystic fibrosis and to provide all people with the disease the opportunity to lead full, productive lives by funding research and drug development, promoting individualized treatment, and ensuring access to high-quality, specialized care.
