A third suspect charged in a robbery that occurred Jan. 1 was taken into custody by Bates County authorities and has been transferred to the Vernon County Jail.
A 20-year-old Vernon County resident identified as Cody Moore was taken into custody on arrest warrants issued by the Vernon County Associate Circuit Court.
He is charged with robbery first-degree, a Class A felony; assault second-degree, a Class C felony; and stealing, a Class C felony.
All three suspects are held on $100,000 cash or surety bond.
Earlier, Lee Roy Parrish, 18, and Jessie Ray Miller, 17, were arrested. Warrants for the same charges were issued for both men.
The arrest of Moore concluded an investigation by Nevada Police into a robbery that occurred in a residential area. At that time, Nevada Police were dispatched to the 200 block of North Jason Street for a reported robbery that had just occurred.
The 46-year-old male victim reported to police that he started an online conversation with another man that led to a meeting of the two at a local gas station and they then returned to victim's home. Moments later the victim answered a knock on his door and two other males entered the residence. The victim was attacked, choked and punched repeatedly.
The victim reported that the three suspects stole his wallet with $35 and his cell phone before fleeing the area.
The police investigation was aided by witness descriptions of the suspects and truck along with further information from reliable sources.
