The Sheldon R-8 school district held their science fair Thursday evening, giving family and other members of the community an opportunity to see the variety of projects the students researched and based their project on.

The students displayed a wide range of project themes, including bridge, volcano and Niagara Falls models as well as projects concerning hair products, efficient basketball shooting methods, the affects of video games, gamer stereotypes, fertilizer types and many others.

"A lot of the kids have worked really hard and I hope they learned a lot about science and the scientific method," science teacher Sarah Holz said before presenting awards to the top three projects from each grade.
