Tigers place second in Bolivar

The Nevada Tigers had a nice day on the court Thursday in Bolivar, with a number of top individual finishes en route to second-place at the four-team tournament. Host-school Bolivar finished first.

NHS individual results

Among those earning medals for Nevada (in playing order), were Jordan Sheehy, second place; Matt Sommer, third-place; Nathan McCall, second-place; Sheel Patel, second-place; Jace Lanham, second-place; Sam Creasy, first-place. Both Vasantgiri Goswami and Caleb Theis finished in fourth-place.

Doubles results

For Nevada in doubles play, the No. 1 duo of Sheehy and Sommer finished in second-place; McCall and Lanham placed second, while Patel and Creasey also earned a second-place finish. Finishing in third for Nevada was Theis and Colson Fisher. All four Nevada doubles teams medaled with top three finfishes respectively.

Suspended match

Play was suspended late-Friday afternoon due to the threat of lightning, as the Tigers were midway through a home-match with the Clinton Cardinals.

Details as to when play will resume were not made available by Nevada tennis coach Clayton Wheeler as of press time.
